NZL Success At Commonwealth Games
Sydnee Andrews (GIS WB) claimed gold in the +78kg category to win only NZ's second ever gold medal for Judo at a Commonwealth Games.
Syd defeated all her opponents by Ippon to secure the title, adding to the Bronze medal she won at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
Kody Andrews (CJA CA) - who is not related to Sydnee - secured the bronze medal in the men's +100kg category.
NZ finished 5th on the Judo medal table.
