Judo New Zealand congratulates the following Kata Pairs on their selection for the Inaugural  Oceania Continental Championships to be held in Melbourne Australia on 17th April 2026.

Athletes and Selected Kata to perform;

Tori; Sam Manu (KOI WN) and Uke; Palilavong  Phouphayly (UPP WN) – Kodokan Goshin Jutsu no Kata
Tori; Jason White (CAN CA) and Uke; Matthew Dyer (CAN CA) – Kodokan Goshin Jutsu no Kata
Tori; Arya Zale (BJC AK) and Uke; Andy Hata (BJC AK) – Kodokan Katame no Kata
Tori; Neisha Brooking (TAU WB) and Uke; Palilavong  Phouphayly (UPP WN)– Kime no Kata

This is the first time the event will carry World Ranking List points which could contribute to them being able to qualify for the World championships, we wish them all the best with their competition.
