WB Camp a Huge Success
Wednesday, 25 March 2015 07:52

The WB Area's annual weekend Camp was hosted this year by Whaktane Judo Club. Around 115 Judoka attended on both days with ages ranging from 5 to 60yrs.

A full, fun program was provided (for more detail, Read More).

A massive thank you from the clubs in the WB Area to Kevin Mackey (WHA WB) and his team for their hard work in putting on this event.

Saturday consisted of 3 modules in the day of Tachi-Waza, Ne-Waza  and an excellent Judo gymnastics session, finishing around 4pm. The group split, with the older participants heading to High Wire and Assault courses, and the younger ones to the Pools and Hydro slides. Around 8pm an adult training session commenced until 9.30.

Sunday morning started with everyone up around 6.30 for beach runs, exercise and games then after a light breakfast Judo sessions started with fast and furious Randori linked with games. The weekend finished with prize giving and lunch around 1 pm.

Next year’s Camp is already booked for the 2nd / 3rd of April at Epworth Camp Karapiro.
