They have just competed at the Hong Kong International Youth and Junior Tournament against players from 7 Asian countries, achieving 3 silver and 3 bronze medals.

International teams from Hong Kong, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Macau, Malaysia, Korea, and China were involved in the event, and the following NZ players achieved medals;

Cadets; Mens -60 Isaac Drakely (NJC AK) silver, +66 Grayson Thomas (NJC AK) silver; Womens -57 Annezka Joubert (NJC AK) bronze.

Juniors; Mens -81 Jackson Baxter (KAI CA) silver; Womens -57 Hayley Baxter (KAI CA) bronze, Rachel Smith (WAN NW) bronze.

The team now train with the Hong Kong national squad before moving to Singapore for a 3 day training camp with Ki-Young Jeon (Korean triple World Champion and 1996 Olympic gold medalist) before competing in the Singapore Open.

We wish the team well for the next event and congratulate them on their recent success.
