“do or not do - there is no try”
NZL at Senior Worlds
Monday, 08 September 2014 17:25

NZL had a small team at the recent Senior Worlds held in Chelyabinsk, Russia.

Alex Bishop (NJC AK) fought very well to reach the third round in the -66kg category, unfortunately having an ippon awarded against his Mongolian opponent downgraded to waza-ari by the video referee and then losing by osaekomi. Team mates Lee Calder (WJA AK) -73kg, and Ivica Pavlinic (MET WB) -81kg met very strong opponents in their first round contests and did not proceed to the next round.
