RAF To Compete At Auckland International Open
Wednesday, 10 February 2010 11:52

The Royal Air Force are sending a team to compete at this year's AIO. The tour is being co-ordinated locally by Squadron Leader Murray Simons of Upper Hutt City Judo Club. They have plans to attend ANZAC day services prior to the event.

AJA Sports Director, Debbie Downing, reports that the attendance by another country is great news for the event and there are plans to host an RAF vs ANZAC Combined Services teams contest on the Sunday morning.

This year's AIO includes a changed format with Seniors, Junior Men & Women, and Cadets competing on the Saturday, followed by a randori session conducted by the JNZ High Performance Director. Dan gardings, Armed Forces Teams Event, and children's categories will be held on Sunday.

On-line entries for NZ registered players are now available on-line. Some international entries have already been received - others requiring information please contact the AJA Sports Director This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
