Competition Rules Seminars
Wednesday, 10 February 2010 11:24

Two seminars have been scheduled to outline the recent changes to the IJF contest rules, the way in which they are being interpreted in international events, and the JNZ application of these rules for this year's domestic program.

It is strongly recommended that coaches, competitors, and referees attend one of these seminars in preparation for this year's competitive season.

These seminars will be conducted by David Browne, recently returned from being an IJF invited referee at events in Korea, France, and Germany.

Events are scheduled for Wellington (27 February, Porirua Police College - contact Chris Kingston) and Auckland (14 March, Sports House, Albany, North Shore - contact Craig Bartlett).

The Wellington seminar is followed by a "Trial Tournament" on the Sunday to enable referees, coaches, and players to become accustomed to the new rule interpretations.

The Auckland seminar is one week before the first Area Open of the year, to be held in Gisborne on 20-21 March. On-line entries are now available for this event, the 2010 East Coast Open.
