 NZL had only 2 entries at the 2012 Commonwealth Championships held in Cardiff, Wales in late January, but achieved a 100% success rate.
Jason Koster (CAN CA) took out the -100kg title, and Moira de Villiers (NJC AK) won the -70kg category. Both now continue competing and training in Europe in an attempt to gain Olympic qualifying points. |

 A small but successful team competed in the Masters Championships in Katsuura, Japan in November.
Kiki Velloza (GIS EC) had a particularly busy event, competing, refereeing, and also entering the kata competition.

2012 National Training Camp |

 The first National Training Camp for 2012 is scheduled for 17 -19 February in Wanganui. This is a COMPULSORY camp for all Cadets, Junior Men & Women, and Seniors wishing to be selected for the OJU Championships in April.
